What is wrong with this picture?

The picture is of five nuclear carriers... Just like Battleship Row, Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.

This picture was taken the other day in Norfolk. The Obama Administration ordered 5 nuclear carriers into harbor for "routine" (?) inspections. Heads of the Navy were flabbergasted by the directive.

NORFOLK, VA. (February 8, 2013). The first time since WWII that five U.S. aircraft carriers were docked together.

USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), USS Enterprise (CVN 65), USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), and USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) are all in port at Naval Station Norfolk, Va., the world’s largest naval station.

never ever have i seen more than two carriers pier side in norfolk at one time. just crazy.
even the sec.of the Navy is puzzled.
 
Why should people be puzzled?

Look who's in charge of the military.

one of the big things in naval history was to never ever after pearl harbor have that many ships together that are not at sea. WE ARE IN DEEP SHIT WITH THIS IDIOT!!!!!
 
What the hell is this A-hole thinking!? If a Fleet Admiral had done that he'd be looking at a court-martial. This is what you get when a 2-bit community organizer is in charge!!
 
If you look at the people that Obama learned from in his life, including his sperm donor, they seem to universally believe America became a global empire on the backs of small, poor countries. That we are to big for our britches and need taken down a notch. His actions as president seem to support that 100%. He seems to be following the Cloward-Piven socialist plan to bankrupt us. Bringing in the carrier groups will help his efforts to drop us a notch. The quote last summer about being able to do more after the election seems to be coming true, from anti gun efforts to putting all of our air craft carriers into one port. It may be the only true thing I ever heard him utter.

Remember that the one saving grace at Pearl Harbor was that the carriers were out to sea and yjust got the battleships. The war in the Pacific would have taken a lot longer if we had lost them too.

With the returns from deployment of the carrier DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER on Dec. 19, and the amphibious ships IWO JIMA and NEW YORK on Dec. 20, the piers at Norfolk’s naval base are about as full up as they’ll ever be.

Five aircraft carriers, four big-deck amphibious assault ships, a full cast of “small boy” surface warships, along with nuclear submarines and support ships, are crowding the base, giving a comfortably snug feeling to the waterfront. Similar scenes — although not with the gathering of flattops seen here — are taking place at other fleet concentration areas like San Diego and Pearl Harbor.

The Navy makes a point of trying to gives its shipboard crews a chance to spend Christmas with their families, and for a few days the percentage of ships underway drops to the lowest point it will be all year. But many of these ships will be gone in two weeks as the pace of operations picks up again.

In a decade or so, scenes such as this at Norfolk could become quite rare, as the fleet is in the midst of a gradual shift from the Atlantic to Pacific. Within a few years, about sixty percent of the U.S. Navy’s ships will be homeported at a Pacific base – virtually a mirror image of the Cold War emphasis on the Atlantic.

you mean this is a sham?

in the pic i can see 4 or 5 angle deck carriers. only 1 for sure amphib. straight deck.

No problem. I got caught on one last year about DHS doing checkpoints in Tennessee. Thanks for posting it up...that's stand up!

On a side note, I still think Obama want to ruin the country.
 
From check points to carriers.....the reason it’s easy to believe?....because it’s what we have come to expect, sad when success and common since is an unexpected surprise. Think about it, we tend to believe all the negative shit because that is so much more common that we are conditioned to expect it, so much so we are more apt to question success and reported up-tics , I wouldn’t feel bad about your post…..oh well.

No he doesn't. That would also ruin him. What he wants to do, as he stated many times, is fundamentally transform the country into his vision of what it should be. That makes him a thousand times more dangerous; because he's motivated, committed, and absolutely believes he's doing the right things for the country. So did every other tyrant in history - with the possible exception of Nero. What he refuses to understand is that it's not his vision that's important. It's our and the Founders vision that is important.

He also does not understand or believe that pursuing his dream will ruin this country. Which is why he blames others when things don't go his way. He's not stupid, but he is psychotic.
