Maverick 88 or Mossberg 500?

Has mossberg ever sold a Maverick 88 version that was just a mossberg 500 receiver with Maverick furniture? This is what was in the box they sold me. Was this a mistake? I just thought that's how they made the Maverick until I saw youtube videos about them.

Mine came with 2 blued barrels and it was 300.00 out the door at Big 5. Does that sound right for mossberg 500? I could have sworn I bought the Maverick 88.
