to get the born date of your 500ABR. She will also be able to tell you what those letters stand for.(ABR)

I found some info for ya.

The Mossberg 500ABR was made by Mossberg for Lakefield the store and other retailers.

The A stands for 12ga. The B stands for it is being sold under the Lakefield and other retail stores. The R is for delux, or royal,engraved bolt and receiver.

Also called the "country squire".
