Mossberg 5500 MK II green rubber "O-Ring" broke

Part #65 O-Ring (Green Rubber)

I shot over 500-rds 7-1/2 target bird shot trap shooting. I needed to clean this Mossberg 5500 MK II. When I dissembled the shotgun the ripped rubber "green O-Ring" fell on the bench. I went to Home Depot and in the plumbing dept I find a box set of 10 for $2.27 in black color the same size. I used this in my assembly. Replaced with Danco, Inc., #96784
13/16" OD x 11/16 I.D. x 1/16"

I like the 5500 MK II, but this is a very weak part that will wear out. I am going to continue to shoot trap with this Mossberg 5500 MK II so I will keep an eye on it.

I will keep the solution updated as I shoot more trap.

Shot two boxes of bird shot (50rds total) and the home depot O-Rings so far look good.
