Mossberg Maverick 88™ 8-Shot

Hello guys.
I am new in this forum and with the shotguns.
Lately I have purchased a Mossberg Maverick 88™ 8-Shot with a 20'' barrel.
I got it for home defence.
But sometimes I want to go out and hunt something.
Can I do it with this kind of shotgun?

welcome to mossbergowners. What do you want to hunt ? So you have an 88 pump. This is the O/U section O/U = over under barrel. No biggie but might get more opinions if you go introduce yourself in the new members sectition with your question. What kind of choke does your Mavrick have ?
