Navy Mossbergs

This presentation from last year mentions that the US Navy is looking to standardize their Mossberg shotguns with a 17-inch barrel version. I'm familiar with 18-and 20-inch barrel versions, but is this some sort of Navy specific variant?:

Thanks for sharing that. First I had seen it, but since Mossberg has recently discontinued their 6 shot mag to an 8 round mag for their 590, would make sense to not use a 14.5" barrel.
