New 590A1

Hello All, I am new to the Mossberg forum. A friend of mine is an FFL and finally located me a 590A1, it is the 51670. It will need some add on's right out of the box. :lol: I will be ordering the heat shield and the sure shell carrier by Mesa. I have not been able to locate the proper hardware and bayonet. Does anyone have a good source for the bayonet and lug? I will post some 590A1 porn as soon as it arrives..

We've got a great group of folks here on Mossberg Owners and the atmosphere is very laid back. The only thing we like better than discussing each other's guns is lookin at 'em, so we're looking forward to the pics of your 590a1. Hi J!!! I sure do love the 590A1! One heck of a firearm, it just runs every time!

The 51670 is a 5 shot yes? I dont remember if its Kings Armory or S&J Hardware who will have a batonet lug for those... I'm not able to look it up and find links at the moment, I'm headed out to work.

You may run into problems installing both the hardware for the lug and the heatsheild, though I'm not positive. Anyone else able to confirm or deny?

The 51670 comes with the bayonet lug already as a part of the firearm. No need to install anything but the M9 style bayonet. You can see it right where the forward swivel stud is.

This is the 9 shot model Rossi. 8+1. Same as mine but with the standard forend, no rails.

As for a heat shield, I don't know if others have started selling them for the heavy walled barrel but I got mine from Aimpro. Make sure whatever one you buy, you get the one that is designed for the heavy walled barrel. I did a thread on mine,. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Great Rip, I contacted my buddy who is my gun dealer and he is a dealer for Ontario knife so we go one order, also the thread on the heat shield was a big help. Thanks to all for the help..
