Hi,

Just doing the customary newbie introduction.

I had a 30" Maverick 88 back in the '80's.

Currently have a 500 Persuader #50411 that came with a pistol grip to convert it to a Cruiser. Bought it at Academy Sports while I was living in Texas.

I sold all my other guns and have a refound respect for my 500 :)

Looks like a great board. I've been lurking a little before I registered for an account.

I sell Military Surplus and Tactical Gear at gun shows on the Michigan and Indiana circuits.

The only thing we like better than discussing each other's guns is lookin at 'em, so we're lookin forward to pics of your 500 . Thanks! I've had many in the past. Beside the Mossy 500 I have a Henry .22LR Mare's Leg and Baby Browning .25ACP. I'll post some pics when I can.

Funny you should ask. I love it but I converted back to a Persuader because shotguns in Michigan have to have a barrel at least 18" which mine does, 18.5" so that's not a problem but with the Cruiser Pistol Grip it's over all length is just short of 28" which in Michigan has to be 30" or be registered as a pistol. So until I can afford a fancy tactical stock with a pistol grip it's going to stay a 500 Special Purpose Persuader ;)
