Hey y'all I'm new here with a new 88 18.5" 12ga security. I use it for hog hunting and such, and home defense.
I have a few mods but nothing tactical, just practical. I have a Limbsaver recoil pad, (which by far is the best mod I have done), I changed the trigger spring so it has a lighter pull, I added a tritium front bead, and a set of swiveles and a sling.
I carry it in a nice little scabbard.
For the price you really can't beat it. I haven't had any troubles with it and I'm accurate enough with it to hit what I'm aiming at (usually) out to about 75 yds or so with plane Jane 2-3/4 slugs.
Have any of y'all had yours very long and used it? How do they usually hold up in the long run if taken care of? It seems built well enough to get some years of use out of it. Time will tell.
Here she is and thanks for having me.

Welcome.

The 88 will hold up for decades with proper care.

To put it into perspective, it's essentially a Mexican made Mossberg 500; with a different handguard.

Your upgrades sound very practical and reasonable.
