Newbie to forum needing advice on a 183a-d

Hello my name is dakota,
I have my grandpas gun. I enjoy this old 410 bolt action very much. I wish 410 was still as cheap as everything else to shoot though.
My issue is trying to load the magazine. Maybe I am doing it wrong? I'm not sure. I put the round in and push down but it will not stay down. Any advice things to check it different technique is all greatly appreciated.

I also have a mossberg 270 bolt action and mavrick 88 12 gauge. I have been very happy with mossberg products and have decided to buy their guns as a majority of my collection.

Welcome from NY. Sounds like you have a nice Mossy collection.
About the 183a/d, I don't own one but if you give Havlin a call I'm sure they will be able to help you.
