You looked much younger than i thought.. ( old and wise )Most IMI and all 9mm NATO rounds are loaded to about 38000 psi so they'll cycle all those heavy open bolt military weapons.
Most commercial 9mm, is loaded to ~35,500 psi. I wouldn't say that is really anemic, but is comparable to shooting mile 38 special to +P 38 Special. It's a notable difference.
Personally, I like shooting 165gr handloads. The thump of the bullet striking the backstop is the dominant sound. And it has a decent thump too.

There is a 9mm NATO out there ive heard.. Probably made for PC carbines ?
As an aside to earlier posts about the CZ Scorpion, there's a non-restricted version available up here now and it is one badass looking rig.
It's retailing for about the same as the Beretta here (bout $1200). But they sell out just as fast as they come in. I don't know any place that has any in stock.
