I was able to get it together. I added several more supports underneath the seat slats than it had to begin with and it's a lot sturdier now than it was before.

I'm just glad to be able to fix it. My reward is going to be seeing the family gathered around it again.
The last year or so the wood has been weak and no one was using it. Hopefully the next time it needs rebuilt, I'll have grand babies sitting in it. :mrgreen:
As for the "bluegrass", I did get some paint on it, but it'll come out after it gets mowed a few times
But I don't mind listening to bluegrass sometimes. I was raised near a little place called Hyden where the Osborne Brothers were from and it would be hard to remember a time when I didn't know who Bill Monroe was
