Purple wood furniture stain job

She wanted a bright red so I might give what you did a try when it arrives

Looks like a good project to do Chris....
If you take your time and let the wood dry in between stripping Coates and staining, it will be fine. Mine was a bit tacky to the touch when I finished the staining but then again it might of been because it was water based stain. But a few extra days of dry time worked out and then a few Coates of polyurethane and your done.

Nice job. I'm not a big purple fan either, but it's my girlfriend's favorite color. Hope she doesn't see this thread. I hate working with stain.

its not as bad once you take your time.
