Update on Colorado.....The recall of Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock is still in the works. The organizers are lining up their resources before they file with the county clerk. Once they file they have 60 days to collect a little over 30,000 signatures needed for a recall.
On another note....We have a charter school in Douglas County that has taken the steps to train and arm teachers and staff. Charter schools that are part of the county school district have the authority to have their own board of directors and to hire and fire teachers and administrators at will. The charter schools have to teach a basic curriculum but they have a way of getting more subjects into their program that other of the public schools do not teach. This is just one reason why there is a long waiting list of parents waiting to get their kids into a charter school. Because of the differences between the regular public schools and the charter schools it is safe to say that the charter schools are pretty much hated by the other public schools in the district. Our fairly new district school superintendent, a progressive from some large Ohio city that our progressive school board looked far and wide to find, has come out yesterday saying that the classroom is no place for guns and that any charter school that trains teachers and staff to stop an active shooter should be removed or leave the school district. To put this in perspective, our progressive school superintendent and our progressive school board must have short memories regarding the STEM charter school shooting back in May that took one student's life and left eight students wounded. My memory is only too clear of our Red Flag loving Sheriff Tony Spurlock and his Red Flag loving Undersheriff Holly Nicholson-Kluth getting plenty of face time on local and national media.....a republican sheriff that supports a progressive attempt to a gun grab.
Red Flag goes into effect on 1-1-20 in Colorado.
More later.
