Where to move?

I am seriously considering this move from NY. The company I work for has offices in NYC and North Carolina. Recently I was told that I could work from either location.

RTP area I take it? If so I am right in that area and I couldn't be happier!

Do not move to Illinois. This state isn't far behind cali and new york.

I have lived in North Carolina for seven years. I love it here. There is a lot of construction in the Raleigh/Durham area, and you are about 4 hours to the beach to surf or pier fish.

What I tell my friends moving from "Up Nawth" is, "Remember all of the crap that you moved here to escape? Leave it up there. Do NOT bring it with you" If you do that we welcome you with open arms!
