Yeah, it does. Different manufacturers (and sometimes model) vent ribs are different widths.

Here are the model number Hi VIZ front sights that will fit Mossberg 500 vent ribs.

M400, S400, BB2005, MGH2007-I, TO350

And here are the front/rear sight sets

TS1002, TB2004, FO2008-II, TT1001, C400-3

Awesome info thanks

I love the FO2008-11 Would this work well for bird hunting?

I personally think that a simple front sight like I have in the earlier picture is a lot faster to get on target because the sight picture is less cluttered and are pretty instinctive to point.

They work better for me, especially on fast movers doing tactical maneuvers and barrel rolls

This is my personal choice

You may shop around and find a better price. I just picked that site because it was the first hit on a google search for the product and I don't know anything about the retailer.

Duck,
I do a lot of "Upland" hunting with my 500's.
I have found that for me the best sling going is a single point sling and mount.
This allows me to be very quick to the ready with a flushing bird and really helps carrying the gun on the long walks.

This is what I use

I was thinking about maybe getting a single point sling. How do you mount the sling mount you have?

The piece that I showed the pic of, mounts between the stock and the receiver.
Remove the stock, place on the receiver, put the stock on....piece of cake.

The one that I linked to has 2 ears, this allows for right or left hand carrying.
They do sell them with only one ear if your prefer

I use the Blackhawk Mountain sling on all my 500's, they come with swivels included. They are priced very reasonably and are a very high quality item.
