Got Wood?

I got an entire machine shop at disposal no vertical bandsaw I've been pleading with the boss to get one for years now. Do you think CNC milling would work on some of the hard exotic stuff?

A cnc!? Oh yes....yes it would....
You just need the program to get the pattern correct. And the hole placement. I'd like to get a small one someday...

When we were shopping for ours they had a tiny little one in the show room pumping out little steel protractors thing would fit in your living room ,it was still like $32,000

Do you ever get any requests for imagery in a set of grips?

I do, but I do not make any with it. I'm very boring, I just do smooth grips. I had started to step into checkering, but after an accident in 2014 left me with a severe shoulder injury, I cannot do it....

The reason I ask is at work we've been playing around with the CNC and found and image program that nearly writes itself and was curious of the demand for such a service

This isn't related to pistol grips or bad ass knives, but I started on a kitchen knife for my cousin. A damascus blade with some cherry burl grips. here's the process...

I'm going down to the shop in a few to work on it. I'll post up pics tonight when it's almost done....
