I clean my pistols after each use ... kinda enjoy it; helps me become one with the gun. :shock:

Though I'm in the process of receiving my new 590A1 (via Buds to Cabela's), I have a history of not cleaning my shotguns as often (mainly because they weren't used for HD). I'm not sure what my tendancy will be with the new 590A1 but odds are I'll clean it often so that it's prepared to defend the home.

EDIT: I'm going to have to do some major research to figure out how to field strip and clean my new 590A1 because I haven't done that in decades with a shotgun.

This link covers the 590 series,I'm not sure the A1 would be included but it's worth a look.

Mine get cleaned almost never... I look at them and think, (hmmm, I should maybe make time to clean those...) but I dont. If I shoot this weekend it will be in the rain and mud. I'll clean them after that.

My "range day" isn't finished until the guns are cleaned!
Once a month if not shot in my area because of high humidity,
usually just a quick bbl, bolt and bore oiling.

also with the mossberg 590 i have to remove the specops stock to clean so i think i will be cleaning after everytwo trips haha

I started not to clean my Mossberg 930 autoloader to see how many rounds it takes before it starts to gum up. Last time it took 600+ rounds before I had to clean it.

i run a bore snake after outing with mine. can't hurt.

remember: a clean gun is a happy gun.

I havent done it yet, but to do it, I think;
Remove the magazine cap, under that is a flat cap with a slot. Take that out (I dont know if there is an official way to get that out or not) with the spring and follower out, the mag tube can be cleaned.

Again, let me emphasize I think. I havent tried this, but if memory serves, this is how I have heard of the process goin.

yeah because i noticed when i felt in the shotshell holder i was pretty dirty with powder build up.

I had a problem this week at the range because my gun had gotten so dirty. The shell expanded and gripped the inside of the barrel because it was filthy. I had to use a push rod to extract the shell. Luckily I was on the line with 2 other guys on my shooting team and it was practice. I use to clean them after every time i shot them looks like that's what I'm gonna have to start doing again. :x

its a mid 70s New Haven 600AT which is equivalent to a 500. Never had any problems with it but I haven't cleaned her in a while lol. I'm putting about 100 rds a week through it and it hasnt been cleaned since the end of duck season. During duck season I clean it constantly because the blueing is almost all worn off and I dont want it to rust. That why I'm getting my 930 waterfowl in max-4 :D

I use Hoppes #9 and rem oil to clean the whole thing. I was looking into finding something to clean the wood that is actually made for cleaning wood. Any suggestions?

I have been using the Sentry Solutions Tuf-Cloth and I highly recommend it.
