My family is all Navy. My Grandfather, Mother, and Father all retired after 30 years as Master Chiefs. Uncles and Aunts officer positions. My cousin was messing around with my grandfather a couple years back. He told my grandfather that he was going into the Marines.

My Grandfathers response "I would rather have a sister in a whore house, than a grandson in the Marines."

We laughed so hard, he didn't think it was funny. Just like others above, some of his best friends are Marines, Army, etc. It is always the same way, jive each other, but stand right behind each other.
