underneath right in front of the loading opening it should have 500 and some other letters such as A and such.
mine looks very familiar and its an early 70's 500 AT .

No markings underneath. Just says on the barrel : Made for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells, 30 inch barrel fixed full choke, made in USA

Nothing, the pics I'm showing are the only markings on the gun. I'm starting to wonder if I don't own a clone....

Take a pic of the bottom of the receiver with the forend all the way forward.

What you have there is a Western Field model 550. It is a store brand Mossberg 500 made for Montgomery Ward. There are no Mossberg markings on it due to the commissioned production by a third party retailer...

I've seen both marked and unmarked Western Field receivers in the past.

Either way, it's a Mossberg 500...
