I wasn't done. Not sure what happened. Anyway, I am shooting a JM 930, 9 round. I have had it apart and cleaned it thoroughly and removed the mag shell stop and polished it and everything else I can think of. At our local 3 gun match, they often have us pre-load our shotguns, and leave the chamber empty (chamber flag in). So I get to the line, and with a full mag tube, drop the bolt. When I do this, it double feeds above the lifter, and drops at least one round out the bottom under the lifter. It does this every single time. My buddy used it last time, and when he did it, it just kept pumping shells out the bottom until it was empty. Pretty embarrassing! If I load the chamber first, then drop the bolt and load the magazine, it runs just fine. Incredible in fact. But every time I load the magazine only, then drop the bolt on an empty chamber, it drops a shell out the bottom. Sometimes it feeds one shell above the lifter into the chamber, and about half of the time it double feeds. I have gotten good at pushing one shell back into the mag tube, but this takes a LOT of time. I cant shoot a match like this. I know it is getting picky, but it has to work right. BTW, I cut my mag spring down-it was around 18" long when new, I have it cut to 11 1/2" beyond the end of the mag tube with the stock follower in place. I have just about ordered a new follower several times, but i want to get it to get it working right before I make any changes to it. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks for this great forum!
