Sounds like you have an older 20" barrel. Does it have a 5 shot mag tube?

Hello.....Just joined. I have a 500c 20 gauge ...serial J247054. Sent request to Mossberg for Manufacture date......pretty sure it is around 1983...will post when sure. BTW...it has a Black , synthetic stock and an original wood forend .....trying to figure out which synthetic forend to buy so it looks better. Single slide action lever.

From what I see.....20 Gauge 500c....only used single slide....as depicted in parts breakdown I found online...

Good morning,
I have a Lakefield Mossberg 500AB with the 30in vent rib fixed full choke barrel that belonged to my late grandfather. :)
It has scene engraving on both sides of the receiver as well a jeweled bolt.
The serial # is G503XXX.
I also can't seem to find very much information o it. It has made in Canada stamped into the receiver by the loading port.
Any or all information is greatly appreciated.
