Paris Terrorist Attacks, Death Count at 158 and Rising

I pray he doesn't start WW-III at the 11th hour, just to lay it on the next administration.
They're already calling his meeting in Turkey "The War Summit".

Last month, FBI Director James Comey acknowledged an estimated 900 active investigations pending against suspected Islamic State-inspired operatives and other home-grown violent extremists across the country.
The majority of those inquiries involve suspected Islamic State recruits, officials said, who have either been radicalized through the terror group's aggressive social media campaign or have returned to the U.S. after being trained on battlefields in Syria and Iraq. Islamic State is also known by the acronyms ISIL and ISIS.
Comey has said that the number of inquiries has slowly climbed, largely due to the group's successful outreach to young, disaffected Americans.
"(Islamic State) is fueling an unprecedented tempo for law enforcement authorities combating the homegrown Islamist extremist threat,'' a House Homeland Security Committee threat assessment stated earlier this month, adding that almost 60 people have been arrested so far this year in ISIL-related cases.
Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, the Homeland Committee's Republican chairman, last week called the Islamist threat a "menace'' that is increasingly challenging the capacity of counterterrorism authorities.
"As this month's terror threat snapshot illustrates, our counterterrorism and law enforcement efforts continue to be strained by these threats,'' McCaul said. "With Europe accepting possibly up to 1 million (Syrian) refugees by year's end and ISIL vowing to exploit the refugee process, our nation's law enforcement and intelligence communities may soon be stretched as we deal with that crisis and our own Syrian refugee vetting for resettlement in the United States.''
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson acknowledged McCaul's concerns.
"It is true that we're not going to know a whole lot about the Syrians that come forth in this (refugee) process,'' Johnson said last month. "That definitely is a challenge.''

The President has plans to take in 70,000 additional Syrian refugees this year. If a mere 1% are radicalized for terror, that's 700 terrorists coming into the country folks. He wants to bring in even more next year.

Pray tell what/who could stop that?

Isn't that something John A.? He arrived and within a month was involved in this attack. The only way for that to happen so quickly is if they have a very organized structure in place. Along that line of thought, borders don't seem to matter as arrests from this attack have taken place in several countries.

They are definitely coming in as refugees. A terror cell leader was caught on a refugee boat just 5 or 6 days ago. The news was heavily suppressed and ignored by much of the media.

no way Canada is going to leave France hanging out there
Sure as hell hope you're right Oli....I am not confident though. It was a big part of his election platform.

I should add, the last time we had Libs in power...they would not go into Iraq with the U.S. They only committed to Afghanistan and wouldn't go further.

One week ago in Bavaria/Germany a borderpolice team stopped a car from Montenegro and found 8 AKs, 2 pistols, 1 revolver, 2 grenades and 200 gram TNT.
The man was on the way to visit the Eifelturm in Paris (his own words) and had no idea of the weapons in his car!

If that were found in the U.S., not only would they jail you, they'd build a new one on top of you.

Range closed due to rain. No shootin
Come on el-neen-yo!
I think the drought may be over.
And we can go back to being a normal desert.

Not certain if this is legit or not. Probably not, but I'm going to add it here for future reference just in case.

France to Invoke Article 5 of NATO Treaty - NATO compelled to go to war against ISIS

*removed link in case it had hostile programming.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. After 9/11 the French initially stood with us in solidarity until the War on Terror. Their government and their people were so bad that it made ill feelings here....remember people renaming "french fries" to "freedom fries"?

In the 1980’s Reagan was going to pay back Khadafi for a terrorist act by bombing his palace. The French would not permit us to use their airspace and we had to fly out of England. We barely missed Khadafi but we did manage to hit the French Embassy by "accident".

Other examples exist for the lack of French support in dealing with muslim terrorists.

I feel awful for this attack and I hope France learns from it. I hope they realize that multi-culturalism doesn't work with a muslim population. I hope France extracts their revenge. I don't see us joining them though as long as Barry is in the White House. Maybe that will be wrong as they are a socialist/progressive/welfare state nation just like he wants us to be so maybe he'll have some sympathy for them...as long as he doesn't have to use the term 'radical islam".

Woke up today, ran a mile, shadow boxed for half hour. Hitting the range later on.

Keep your skills sharp gentlemen.

+1 on this!^^^^^

And keep buying/making ammo, my brothers and sisters! We may need it!

France is exacting revenge by doing some bombing in Syria. Maybe it will work, maybe not. I recall reading something where France has the highest muzzie population in Europe, perhaps excepting Turkey. These attacks will continue even with increased police/military presence. The people who will lose are the French citizens, whose freedom will be trampled on...

I do put much of the blame on Nobama for the rise of IS. Nearly two years ago, I was wishing for the US to bomb the living hell out of IS as they advanced into Iraq. A-10 Warthogs would have made short work of the advancing columns. Now it is clearly too late. Let al Assad stay in power--we are not in a position to take sides as there is no reason to. Sure, it sucks that he MIGHT be gassing rebels or whatever, but we need to MOOB and worry about making things better at home, economically.

The US needs to step back from trying to remove "dictators" from power and "nation building". Those nations need to be ruled with an iron fist, something our occupying forces were/are not allowed to do. Instead, we should be the worlds largest mercenary force--you want our help, you gotta pay! And if we kill some innocent civvies by accident, well so be it...

I removed the link just in case CaddmannQ

Well my scan turned up nothing, but I have real-time protection against most things.

Anyhow, some serious chit is on if this article is accurate. Nato and Russia on opposite sides of a pitiful mess like Syria makes no sense.

Mainly I think Putin's waving his dick around, and he'll step back after we make some concession to make him feel masterly.
