yeah , I like the AFG . It "fills" my hand nicely and feels comfortable.

I put my AFG on and than took it off to put the flat center piece in. I didn't like how the original configuration felt. What model bushnell is that you have mounted?

I need something low profile like that for my Mossberg, It's nice and looks low enough and small enough not to add too much weight or be too high to see through, Thanks for the info though! :D

Ok. A few new additions to the 22.

1. Tapco buttpad. Fits like a glove. Design pattern matches my tapco forward grip which adds to the aesthetics (no range queen but i like to have nice looking firearms).

2. Magpul PTS BUS. Backup sights made for airsoft/low caliber rifles. They are made of plastic, not iron. They feel pretty solid. We will see how they do next time out. Thanks to Itsricmo for those :D

Hey I just joined this site today! Glad to see all the enthusiasm about the mossberg tactical 22. a lot of my friends try to bust my balls for having a .22 but i love this gun.

my camera is dead too so I can't upload a picture, but I was wondering if anybody has aluminum handguards?

also my barrel feels a little short to me, and i've noticed some of the flash suppressors seem to give it a longer look. whats the best recommendation for that? even if it doesn't suppress the flash ha

Welcome aboard!

I know there a a few of the Tac22 guys here who've added a clamp-on muzzle brake, but I don't know what type off hand. I had my wife's dedicated .22lr AR barrel threaded to 1/2-28 to accept my suppressor and any standard 5.56 thread-on brake...

this muzzle brake here is a PRIME example of what I'm looking for...

As far as my knowledge extends, bird cage style flash suppressors do not affect the round very much if at all. I could be wrong but I think they only suppress the flash a little.
