Civil War II

The enemy is the man behind the curtain, the guy holding the strings and anyone willing to go along with it, anyone who went to washington with his own ideas and then sold out for the money and promise of power.
Its imperfect, hence the legal system, criminality is punished, but we're living a reality where lawful behavior is being punished. And to that point; the lawful are the enemies of those in power.

Great points and well written Rossignol!
The best way to defeat an enemy is to disarm them. Who's wants who to disarm?

I have wondered if we aren't in a "cold" civil war for some time now. Like the years leading up to Lincoln's presidency. Will history some day talk about 2008-2013 as the years leading up to the second "hot" civil war?

LOL. I know lately my post have been long and maybe a little deep. But you guys are hitting the same subjects I talk about all the time. Follow the money in regards to the Coal War, the Elitist, the Liberal Media etc. They i.e. "politicians" have been dividing the country up nicely for a couple of decades now. Not just the Dems but the Repubs too. And like you guys, I don't know where it will all end either. But your 100% right, the strings are being pulled by very powerful people who were never elected to office. :? And even if the SHTF tomorrow, they are not the ones who would be getting shot at I assure you.

More and more people are willing to become outlaw patriots overnight.

It will get uglier before it gets any better I'm afraid.

how might it be fought?

We have many threads I could have added this to or even started a new one. I think is fits here the best.

Will the U.S. soon face a critical situation in which the federal government– primarily the Department of Homeland Security – possesses an ammunition surplus while local and state authorities face ammunition shortages and backlogs in purchasing more rounds?

Current trends could find the federal government with a strong ammunition advantage over local police and sheriff departments.

Probably because a lot of sheriffs have taken a stance of non-compliance. Including here in rural NY.

If they have done anything.... they tipped their hand a wee bit too soon.

There will be no revolution. Because the guys who are really pulling the strings have already won and they know it. You have to believe it when you read a story like this one.

They have brainwashed so many people, that things are now just going the way they want. If they loose a battle or two in the long run they don't care. As a matter of fact they expect it. But when that 5 year old grows up, she's going to know that guns are a BAD thing and be happy to see them go. Us dinosaurs will die out soon enough. They'll get what they want in the end.

Paul

Really... We're suspending kids over bubbles... Soon you'll need background checks to buy bubble guns and squirt guns! I thought I'd seen it all, then I saw this...

She didn't even have the Bubble Gun at school. It was just two little girls "talking" about shooting each other with bubbles. The insanity has taken on a life of it's own.

I might add that we need leaders in the NRA etc. to take a longggg term approach at re-educating Americans on the reason we have the rights we do. Because they obviously don't have a clue. And it's certainly not something that is going to sink in after a couple of 15 second sound bites when you have the entire private press shouting from the rooftops about subjects that just erode the Constitution more every day.

Paul

There is quote that I have referenced many times over the years:

Norman Thomas said:
"The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under
the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist
program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without
knowing how it happened."

While the quote refers to socialism, it applies to anything.

The war has been fought for many many years buy those with the power to implement change at the school level, legislative level, etc. Our freedoms have been whittled away from what they once were and every compromise, every cave in to "common sense" laws, is slowly eroding our freedoms. They know they can't win us over but they can win over the next generations though schools and media.

I kinda wanna address somethin you said about how 5 year olds are bein brainwashed and soon enough we'll all be dead.

While agree this stuff is goin on, I sure as hell don't leave teachin my kids to the schools! If all dies with us, then the other side has won and we're at fault, not them!

I teach my kids what's right and wrong, I prepare them to go into the world able to think for themselves, I decided, made a conscious decision long ago, to take it upon myself to raise them up! Those who would do otherwise and let the school system raise their kids are among those who are our biggest problems. Its up to us to re-educate and fight at this point, we sure as hell can't leave it to our legislators or the NRA. They'll just muck up the whole thing. We have to be active if we love what we have at all.

I don't care how many they brainwash. We may well be a minority, but we aren't feeble or inadequate.

I'll keep teachin my kids, I'll keep teachin how to shoot. I'll teach em about God and cuntry, I'll teach em that our founders all became traitors at the signin of the Declaration of Independence. I'll make sure they understand the Constitution, and its amendments. I can teach them freedom and liberty here at home. They don't have to have smart phones. I don't have to let them go out with friends, but they can earn freedoms like these and other by bein respectful and responsible. When they are the people they need to be right now, they earn more. These lessons can dovetail into the other life lessons about our history. I sometimes have to get creative, but that's parenting.

I'll challenge anyone who says otherwise, who says were lost or our children or lost. Its just time to face this creatively, its def a challenge we're facing. I don't know what will happen. Proposed legislation may become law. The fight may take on another form, but it will never become compliance or complacency.

Same here brother! We are working on the same things at my house too...and we don't want participation awards..we want to win on merit or lose and shake the winners hand knowing we gave our best. My kids don't celebrate the "Harvest Festival", we have Halloween. My kids know that if someone punches them they better defend themselves. They won't be punished at home for defending themselves. We had a teacher that wanted my daughter to spy and tell on other kids...my wife crushed that. I don't know if I ever saw her so mad. The two of them also know at school they better have each others backs too!

My worry about the bubble gun suspension crap is that for the kids that don't hear otherwise, they will grow up terrified of guns.

And I certainly wouldn't argue with you because I teach my kids the same thing. But I know what I see in the city versus rural areas. And I can tell you that they are completely different worlds. Kids in the rural areas have a sense of awareness, confidence and independence that you just don't see in city kids. It's just different for them in the city.

Both my kids have one trophy each in my house. For third place. Yes, it's the "no kids are left out Trophy" and I make sure they know that they have no meaning in reality. They failed. But my youngest son I was proud of for his trophy because he really tried. And he was very shy at the time and for him to get in front of a group of people and do his Karate routines made me bust. Because he demonstrated bravery. The oldest son. He knew the routine but just went through the motions instead of trying his best. I was not proud of him that day and let him know it. But they both got those because they failed and someone doesn't want them to feel bad. As a matter of fact, just today I told them that they will learn far more from loosing or failing than they ever would by winning a third place trophy.

The ability to think for themselves is far more important to me than winning. But they don't know what it's like to live and be dependent on family, and their own ingenuity. My oldest has ashma. I have taken him shooting and he really enjoyed it. But hunting? I can't. He will go into respratory distress in about 30 minutes out in the woods. My youngest son? He wouldn't hurt an animal if it was eating him.

We do our best under whatever situation we have to deal with. Mothers who are single because some dead beat left. Fathers who think they are doing the right thing by working himself to death, not teaching his kids but relying on anyone who can help.

The world is changing guys. That's my point. How it all comes out I don't know. But kids adapt a lot easier than us old farts. The lessons we learned may or may not apply to them in the world they live in today. I don't know how many people were alive in the Colonies in 1776? But I know it wasn't 300 Million. And even though I know the basis of the Constitution are sound, it keeps evolving and changing on the whims of "We the People" whether we as individuals agree with it or not. And it will continue to do so.

This is a lot of the divide we have right now in our country.

That's a great story and keep working with them as you noted and they should be fine. We don't have a ton of tropies either but I'm looking for the effort and like you said what they can learn when they don't win.

There will be no revolution. Because the guys who are really pulling the strings have already won and they know it. You have to believe it when you read a story like this one.
I don't want a revolution or civil war but I won't believe the battle is lost...don't give in and fight the good fight...oh and you may have to move out of CA because it may just be to late for them.

thanks for the posts Paul!

That's Great! But the battle has begun. And I believe that we must to be smarter than the ones pulling the strings.

We have to go back to 1839 and remember the words of Edward Bulwer-Lytton and remember

True, This! —
Beneath the rule of men entirely great
The pen is mightier than the sword. Behold
The arch-enchanters wand! — itself is nothing! —
But taking sorcery from the master-hand
To paralyse the Cæsars, and to strike
The loud earth breathless! — Take away the sword —

States can be saved without it!

"The Pen is Mightier than the sword." Those words are as true today as they were 174 years ago.

Educating the people is imperitive. Not just talk of Civil War. And for that we need leaders who don't rely on Drones, the NSA and any number of forms of technology to impose their will apon the masses. Technology that the Founding Fathers never dreamed of. Technology we truely have no defense against if directed towards us.

I haven't heard that person speak yet. And I am hoping they appear soon. Because if there was ever a time in this country that we needed someone like that, it is now...

Everybody fights, nobody quits

Sorry Oli. At the last one I was on board the Aircraft Carrier USS Carl Vinson working on let's just say sensitive equipment. And I just couldn't get away that day. ;) I'll try harder next time.

Paul

 aircraft carriers are cool. My brother in law works on one out of VA, well he isnt there now....cant even tell my sis where he is.Never been on one but he sent me a Zippo.

I understand people can’t make it, but I got to do the best I can to insult you into going :D

I know what it’s like to have regret for not taking action and I won’t look back on this and say, "wish I would have, because in my soul I know I could have"......everyone can project what they want to the outside, front.... whatever you want to call it, but at the end of the day we have to live with ourselves and I am harder on myself that anyone has ever been to me…..damn I just realized I have a conscious…..what is this weak shit ? :|

Anyway do what you can because we are all in this together and everyone brings something to the table so keep up the fight in your way, we’ll take it
