Looks like I landed a lower….I’ve shot lots of AR’s but never had my own.

Always held out with my little mini, but alas , Its wise to own a standard issue patriot gun….hard to keep a Mini14 running on AR15 part in the trenches….so here I am assembling a modern musket in what is arguably the worst time in history to do so.

On top of that I am going to do it without paying inflated prices, and I am assembling it from scratch…..right down to a stripped barrel if I can find one.





I have a bunch of stuff on the way……

I don’t have

Bolt carrier groups are nonexistent for MSRP, used are going for 250, I’ll wait

Fixed sights

Got everything else on the way, I’ll post pics as I go, almost sound like I know what I am talking about ....thanks John :)

I have a stock and handguard on the way.....the rifle length buffer tube hasn’t shipped from Palmetto yet , I imagine they are busy.....thanks for the kind thought though !


I would really appreciate if you could keep an eye out for a barrel.
I have a line on a 1/9 Hbar....new chrome lined to the door for about 200.
Also one from Wilson for 250 to the door chrome lined 1/8 Hbar.
Just deciding if that is going rate in the before times….I feel like waiting and seeing what materializes over the next few weeks......I am having an battle with my internal sheep .

Great find LES. if I hadn't just spent about $130 to restore the little 22 rifle, I'd pick one of those up myself.

so is that gas system in the midlength spot or the carbine spot ?

It has a rifle length gas system.

Lower pressures, easier on components...

baaaaaaaaght it.....thanks for the tip, I literally wouldn’t have been able to do this project without Mossberg Owner members help....I am grateful, thanks to you guys lending a fellow patriot a hand
