Modern Musket~~never DONE~~

I have one of the Gessielle flat 3 gun triggers backordered @Brownells. We'll see how it goes. If it takes too long to come in stock, I'll cancel and go with the ACT.

I plan to put it in my SBR lower. I tend to do more fast followup shots with that gun compared to the other AR's I own.

Though I do hope that it doesn't negatively affect my dedicated suppressed 22LR upper. If it does, it's coming out of there and will be going to the auction block.

I always do my own trigger work on all of my AR's and they're already light and smooth as it is. But I'm willing to try something new every now and then.

Im cheap. I'll probably try the ACT and LES suggestion of a different spring kit. John if you try the ACT and then decide its on the block let me know please.

If I splurge at some point I think I'll go for the normal curved trigger and get the 4.5 one from CMC. I'm using a BAD lever and apparently with the flat trigger shoe it doesn't play nice. Plus I'm not wanting too light of a trigger so 4.5 should be ideal for me. I just want something that won't be sloppy like the typical parts kit trigger but reliably goes bang when needed in a bad situation.

Good to know Oli they come with newer pins. I wasn't too excited to see c clips and immediately thought KNS would be the better alternative. Saves a few bucks with the newer torx arrangement.

The only upshot here is if I choose to try an ACT now and then decide to go for the CMC or other nicer alternative later I'll have in reserve something better than the next parts kit trigger I get. I know at some point I'm going to want to start building up another one probably in .300blk most likely.

I've been using the ACT trigger for quite some time now, and without a doubt... it's money well spent. If you want the best of all worlds, and still stay around $70, I would opt for the ACT trigger with a set of springs to get that magical 4lbs trigger. The ACT is crisp and tight, I have no take up, no creep, no overtravel... it's just pure squeeze... break.... and a nice hard tactile and audible reset. I did a poor man's trigger spring alter, so now I'm pulling around 3lbs.... stock I wanna say it was around 5.

I ran a Giessle trigger for a while and hated the two stage set up.... i couldn't be happier with the ACT, and it's 1/4 of the price!

The barrel is nice. I haven’t heard anyone say a bad word about it, it isn’t a heavy contour but it isn’t government, it has a taper but it’s noticeably heavier than a government profile

What I like about this barrel is the ability to shoot quite a few rounds through it at a decent pace and it doesn’t lose accuracy as it gets hot just as an Hbar but it is lighter than the Hbar.

I truly believe it is a solid 1moa barrel with the right set up, two stage trigger, something in 10X or better max magnification, decent cross hair, I think its would be an easy moa barrel
For the money it is an excellent bang for the buck

Might as well update the thread…… as they seem to evolve. Not quite an SPR but a hybrid that’s almost red dot capable at close range. It’s a perfect example of a “jack of all trades, master of none” I really like it

I think it needs a "Hello Kitty" pink pistol grip. Just to break up all that scary black, because that frightens me to no end.

The rifle looks good, Oli.
Like yours, my rifles are constantly changing into something else. I have 2 M-4's that will stay that way, a Recce-ish rifle, and an SPR/DMR. I work on the Recce and SPR the most as I consider those "my" rifles. The M-4's are in the family armory for fun shooting and SHTF if necessary.

@tcecil88 I think all of us have a particular gun, or perhaps set of guns, that we are more partial to and those that are earmarked for particular purposes.

Just last night we had a tornado warning and went down to the basement until it passed and I grabbed the '47 on the way down the stairs.

Sometimes it's the M4, sometimes it's the M10.

But regardless, there are some that get dibs.

I haven't used that one, but it's similar to the Griffin M4SD-II I put on my barrel.

I'm bet'n it'll go a long way in helping keep the muzzle down...

Me and two other buddies use them, seem to work well, but loud. I made the mistake of forgetting ear pro once. And only once. Comes with a crush washer to index, I would like to replace it with shims, just haven't gotten to it yet.

as soon as work chills out some I'll see how it stacks up to a couple others.

I'm being told it isn't as loud as the Rainer I am swapping it for.......next to the Titan supposed to be the best thing going without being as huge as the Titan

When I barreled my buds AR10 I took one shot without my left plug for some stupid reason, SJC Titan....bout made me hallucinate

Damn Oli you aren't done with that thing yet? :D:D

I didn't? ....ummmmm oh well, my bad. ;)

that is looking so flippin sweet man....nice.
