Modern Musket~~never DONE~~

yeah I wrote them a nastygram telling them all about how they misrepresented to part then lied about not hearing about a problem and if they are AR Stoner and I am supposed to send it back to the manufacturer yet they wont take it back......on and on. I hit the send button and it went to a screen that said, "try your search again".....pisses me off I have spent a bunch of money there, I have a package in he mail from them right now.....a range finder, some bullets for reloading, a few other things

@oli700 I found a similar topic at OA2 that I had forgotten about concerning your bolt.

Bolt shatters after only 4 shots (with pics)

so many variables in gun parts, I am thankful I never pushed the envelope as far as reload development on that AR Stoner bolt.

Looks like the case in the first pic at OA almost had a head separation.....who knows what really happened in that pic.

The bolt was reportedly a Bushmaster in the original link, but not many ways to say for sure.

As to what exactly happened, without seeing the rest of the gun, or short of being there myself when it happened ??????

The picture in the last post, does look like a bad bolt to me. 7.62x39 bolts have been known to break lugs occasionally due to the enlarged bolt face decreasing the material itself, but it didn't look like an x39 bolt to me.

My boy got me these for my Bday….very nice. These things are burly, and now I solved the problem of having a non QD scope base and no back up sights.

Doubt the scope goes south but now I don’t have to worry and the transition is fast, might just dial them for 25 and closer, sighting them in tomorrow.

The detent is real positive , comes with an insert for the ring that is small for long range , pop it out and it’s like the big ring on Troy or GG&G rear sights…..might be slightly bigger but sweet for up close

Dude, the folding options is pretty sweet. All other 45 off set sights seem to be bulky and look like like they might get in the way. I think these KAC's will work very well and stay out of the way when not in use.

you need some of these, they are super sweet. Turning the rifle to shoot with the irons feels great, like no learning curve.

need to decide what yards I want them dialed in for.
For fun I dialed them in at 10 and just started smoking on clays and such. Then I went to shoot a couple 20 yards off the they were drastically high in just 10 yards difference, like 5 inches.......but the scope kicks in around 25 about 2 inches low.
At 10 yards the scope is 4 inches low

It was great to just get out and shoot, no load development, no grouping. I didn't take one rested shot today , felt awesome.

shot a bunch of homemade dueling tree as well, blow through ammo with that target.
380 wont turn the paddles, 38 special wad cutters won't turn the paddles all the way, 9mm does good and 10mm,with authority and actually putts a good dimple in the steel.....had a couple more people than pistols that would work so basically whoever was using the CZ would win, every time, and these folks have only shot mine on occasion lol, pretty much shoots itself.

I haven't put serious thought into back ups yet, but since I'm just a copy cat anyways... you're right I should buy the KAC's (although they may cost half a paycheck ;) )

Ain't that how training should always be? I've enjoyed shooting for groups... and once I find the sweet spot load I wanna see how it groups at 200, 300! I need to get some more target stands built for the steel gongs I've got now... then throw'm out at distances 5.56 shouldn't be shot... that's my favorite kinda shooting!

So you're saying I should ditch my crappy tupperware G19 and go for that Buds deal on the PO7 huh?

Exile Machine has the KAC's to your door for around 40 bucks cheaper than anywhere else. Iron sights are spendy, I was floored when my son gifted them to me, he took a new job selling new Chevys 3 months ago and from what I hear he's real good at it, making good bucks for now.

I really like shooting longer too, but the load development soured me on pulling up to the shooting bench.
Now that work has slowed down I'm hitting the 600 yard range, proning out. Be the farthest I've ever shot at anything, generally with in 100 yards for hunting but the terrain varies so much you can break out into 1 or 200 acre fields and be in thick enough crap youde have a hard time even getting a rifle to your shoulder in one hunt, you can have much of the same as far as I saw but the wide open spots are measured in miles not acres, depending on your part of AK, I haven't been where you are now, always wanted to go. those islands are supposed to be a lot like here in forest type, not like that interior AK sea of Black Spruce

I don't know if you would want to give up your Glock for the P07, I prefer the hammer.
Now if you asked if you should throw your 19 away for an SP-01 I would tell you "yes, throw it as far as you can and replace it with an SP-01"
LOL, I am biased but seriously I am so picky that if it at all sucked I would say, its no exaggeration the sweetest 9mm ever ever, only thing I shot I would consider in its league was a sweet S&W 1911 9mm, hell of a shooter

sweet lookin set of BUIS. they tuck in nice and tight and fit well. ya know..... like they should.
Thanks.....yep, they are totally non intrusive . That and the way they are designed to be perfectly centered over the bore sold me. If you get anything offset that doesn't center over the bore can be a bitch to zero and really off at any distance other than the distance used to zero. I am getting that with these today but honestly zeroed at 10 yards that's to be accepted. I was half expecting them to not have enough adjustment to be so close but they did

I have one of the Gessielle flat 3 gun triggers backordered @Brownells. We'll see how it goes. If it takes too long to come in stock, I'll cancel and go with the ACT.

I plan to put it in my SBR lower. I tend to do more fast followup shots with that gun compared to the other AR's I own.

Though I do hope that it doesn't negatively affect my dedicated suppressed 22LR upper. If it does, it's coming out of there and will be going to the auction block.

I always do my own trigger work on all of my AR's and they're already light and smooth as it is. But I'm willing to try something new every now and then.

going to see what this is about, 20% off at Primary arms

got the Chip McCormick in my pistol so I have been running the milspec in the 18"....can no longer stand it because I am spoiled now and blaming my trigger for all my shortcomings lol
would be a lie if I said I wasn't stoked to give it a try
will be my first 2 stage

I can't remember, but I think this one is the same as the SSA-E, just with the flat trigger? Anyways, the SSA-E is the bees knees, smooth...crisp...light on both stages. And you'll never notice when pulling through the trigger while doing non-precise AR work. I don't think you'll regret it.

thats what I gather from the description, they are exactly the same with a flat bow

I thought you had one of the triggers, thought it was the SSA, couldn't remember if it was the E......might have to make another trip to the 600 yard range because when I did it , it was with the mil spec trigger

Oh boy !

just got it in, its real nice. I like the two stage thing.

If this doesn't tighten groups a bit then I'm hopeless, or need a new barrel or different ammo lol.....its a sickness dammit

Merry Christmas to me ! lol
